The Brandon Inn Staff wish all of you visiting our website a Happy Thanksgiving.  We will be welcoming many repeat guests who will be returning to Brandon, Vermont to visit family and friends over the holidays.

Immediately following Thanksgiving we will be decorating the Inn for Christmas and preparing for several holiday parties and bus tours.  Please remember us when planning your business or family get together.... a few dates are still available.

We're celebrating our 20th year as Innkeepers. Also, celebrating a 20th anniversary are Peter and Susan Schaefer.  We were very delighted to welcome them back to the Inn.  They were one of our first weddings in 1988.

The photo shown here was taken this October by guest, Pam Doyle, a participant on one of the new Elderhostel Tours, "Vermont - In Focus".  This was the first of three tours,  lead by local Photographer, Caleb Kenna.  These photography tours have been quite successful and we plan to host many more.

The Brandon Inn started out as a single story tavern built back in 1786 by Jacob Simons. Since then the Inn has under gone many transformations. The Inn is now considered as a Dutch Colonial Style building listed with the National Register of Historic Buildings. Today the Brandon Inn retains all of its elegance and charm as it did in the earlier days.

All in all, in keeping with its history, the Brandon Inn is a true "New England Country Inn". Coming to stay with us is almost like coming home.

   A LITTLE ABOUT
  THE INN KEEPERS

Louis and Sarah Pattis took over the Inn in February of 1988. Louis is Austrian with a strong hotel background including being an award winning Austrian trained Chef. Sarah is from England, she worked as an Occupational therapist, both in the States and abroad before becoming an Innkeeper. (She says the two jobs have many similarities!) They have four children, Mark, Anna, Nickolaus and Rebecca. They all help working in the Inn between their school and sport schedules.

Louis states, "We think of ourselves as caretakers of a little piece of Vermont history. We take our responsibilities very much to heart, as we continually try to upgrade and improve the Inn without endangering the timeless historic nature of the building." It is their belief that they are privileged to be part of the living history at the Inn. They consider themselves to be  lucky to be part of a small town community like Brandon, with its many historic buildings and strong community spirit. " Brandon is Vermont's sleeping beauty, not quite discovered, and we like it that way," says Louis

The Pattis's sincerely hope you have an opportunity to relax, discover and enjoy what the Brandon Inn has to offer. Plan a country wedding at the Historic Brandon Inn Brandon, Vermont.
